LTL stands for Less Than Truckload, which means the shipment requires less than the entire truck space. A LTL shipment typically ranges from 150 lbs to 10,000 lbs and takes up less than 16 feet of space in the truck.
Anything under 150 lbs is considered small package/parcel (ie: visit UPS or Fedex) and not freight.
Large Shipments that weigh over 10,000 lbs or with dimensions that take up the entire truck space are considered FTL, Full Truckload. FTL rates are determined differently than LTL rates. Please visit our
